Shabbos Air Solutions

Our system is a pneumatic communication solution designed specifically for Jewish homes, buildings, and institutions. Instead of using sound, it communicates through light. And instead of triggering alerts electronically, it uses air pressure, making it ideal for Shabbat and Yom Tov use under halachic guidance.

While the system is powered by electricity, its core functionality, including signaling and unlocking, operates through air pressure, allowing for indirect activation that aligns with religious observance. A built-in coded controller manages the compressor's activity and displays when the system may or may not be used, ensuring clear communication and halachic compliance.

A Note on Installation

Shabbos Air Solutions is an integrated system designed exclusively for new construction or major renovation projects. The installation is an in-depth process that involves running and mounting dedicated pneumatic piping and hardware throughout the structure.

This includes the installation of a low-voltage transformer to power the indicator lights and our proprietary, custom-built Shabbos control system. To ensure a perfect fit and flawless operation, many components are custom-fabricated using precision CNC machining and 3D printing, making this a truly bespoke solution for your home or building.

The system is designed to be simple and intuitive. Here is the step-by-step process for a visitor and a resident.

For the Visitor (Outside)

1. Press the pneumatic button at the entrance for 2 seconds when the green indicator is on. This sends an air signal to the residence.
2. Wait for the resident to respond.
3. When the resident grants access, the air may take up to 10 seconds to travel to the front door before the door unlocks. A confirmation strobing bulb will be revealed for several seconds to let you know the door is open.

For the Resident (Inside)

PLEASE ONLY USE THE BUTTONS IN YOUR APARTMENT WHEN THE FLASHING BULB IS REVEALED INSIDE.

1. When a visitor presses the button at the front door, the alert strobing bulb in your apartment will be revealed.
2. To clear the alert without unlocking the door, press the Release button for a few seconds. This re-conceals your alert bulb.
3. To let the visitor in, press the Unlock button for a few seconds. This re-conceals your alert bulb and sends an air signal to unlock the door.
4. All apartments share a common pneumatic unlock circuit. If multiple apartments were notified, a single press of the Unlock button in any apartment will unlock the door and reset all alerted bulbs.
